This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in France after 1891. It is marked Limoges France but the company is unknown. There are artist's initials on both pieces.
The saucer has a diameter of 4 7/8 inches. The cup is 2 7/8 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The cup features a dragonfly handle painted gold. The ground color is pale yellow, There is a reserve on the front of the cup with a flying cherub, arms filled with flowers and a band of roses arching above him. Most likely, this little guy is cupid. The ornaments on the saucer, particularly the wedding ring and arrow, relate to love. It is a darling little set with remarkable detail and charm.
