Copeland Pattern 3880 Swansea Pink Rose & Gold Tea Cup & Saucer Circa 1889 E Antique bone china tea cup and saucer. Decorated in pattern 3880 with large pink "Swansea roses" and gold leaves on the inside of the cup and on the saucer. Gold gild medallion in the center of the cup and saucer. Gold gilt floral scrollwork band around the outside of the cup.
The saucer is marked on the bottom David Collamore & Co Ltd 921 Broadway New York in black and Copeland's China in green. Saucer has an impressed date code for 1889. The cup is marked Manufacturers Spode Copeland Stoke on Trent. Also has the pattern number.
Has some wear to the gilding, some specks on the handle from the firing, some staining, and a small hairline extending off the lip of the cup. The cup measures approximately 4 5/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 3/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
