This is a lovely piece of Moorcroft, a rare pair of large cups and saucers in the a fine tubelined in the floral Ashwood Hepatica pattern by Emma Bossons. They cups are a good size 2 and 1/2" high and the saucers around 5 and 1/4" across.
At last, a cup big enough to dunk a digestive without having to bite the edge off!!! They have the Moorcroft England impress marks with monogrammes and date code for 1999 and the monogramme of Emma Bossons. (any white spots are just the light reflections). Footnote; the design was called "Ashwood" hapatica as Ms.Bossons visited the Ashwood garden centre in Kinver where she saw these flowers. Kinver is a super little place near Bridgnorth where the canal snakes round the sandstone rocks. Sandstone houses built into the rocks. Auctiva offers Free Image Hosting and Editing.
