Features the rare and highly collectible full figural flower handle. Typical Art Deco style with hand painted bold abstract flowers.
Handpainted trim is bright blue with red enamel centers on the flowers. The cup and saucer are both octagonal in shape - most unusual - with the saucer recess featuring a set of indented steps to complement the cup shape. Likely dates from the 1930s. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, other damage or restoration on either cup or saucer - they both pass the bone china "ping" test; the only miniscule flaws is one underglaze darkened pin-prick on the inside bottom of the cup and some small smudges of the paint on the inside - likely as a result of kiln firing which I only mention for complete accuracy and does not detract from the overall beauty of the set. Cup measures 2 3/4" tall and 4 1/4" across including handle; saucer is 5 1/2 across.
