Rare PARAGON ROSE FLOWER HANDLE CUP & SAUCER Green Colorway c1938-52 As Found

  
Full Figural ROSE FLOWER HANDLE. This rare model features the full figural handle in the form of a dark red rose stem. This set likely dates from the late 1930s to 1940s after the coronation of King George VI in 1937 (mark B6 used from 1938 to 1952).

The cup and saucer are both a lovely soft mint green offset by a pale yellow foot and inner saucer recess - all surfaces have been hand decorated using a color wash. Saucer in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, other damage or restoration; sadly the cup has an invisible hairline crack near the handle which can be felt with the fingernail only. There are also some underglaze tiny blackened marks on the cup rim which I have seen on every other rose or butterfly handle Paragon cups I have ever owned.

Cup measures 5" across including handle and is 2 1/8" tall at sides (not including handle); saucer is 5 1/2 across. Marked as shown in photo. Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash. Please remember that my items are vintage and not store-bought-new and some minor wear from age and use should be expected. I do try and describe my items accurately. All items will be packed in bubble wrap and surrounding packing.
