Features the rare flower handle in the form of a pink and blue crocus stem (flower and leaves). Note the scalloped cup shape and matching saucer. The pattern is a profusion of multi-colored flowers in a floral garland in pinks and blues which perfectly complement the crocus stem. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, other damage or restoration to either cup or saucer (one tiny underglaze black smudge line on the cup interior - NOT a crack or hairline but likely minor kiln debris during firing). Both pieces pass the "ping" test perfectly.
No wear to gold gilding. I presume this set has been protected in a china cabinet for decades. From my reference material, this mark was only used from April 1933 to December 1934.Cup measures 4 1/4" across including handle and is 2 3/8" tall at sides; saucer is 5 1/2 across. Marked with Paragon star shield mark in grey with pattern number X1304/1 and decorator squiggles handpainted in orange all as shown in photo.
