This is the MAYTIME pattern featuring a very rare figural handle in the form of crocus flower, stem and leaves. The floral pattern is handpainted pinks and yellows with enamelled details. Scalloped cup shape and saucer. From my reference material, this Paragon mark (A9c) was only used from 1921 to April 1933. The cup has no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, other damage or restoration that I can find but does not have that full ping but is not a completely dull thud - (I have examined carefully for any hidden hairlines or other flaws and can find nothing whatsoever).
The saucer pings perfectly and has no damage, chips, hairlines, cracks or restoration. No wear to the gold trim or pattern, which is clear and bright. Cup measures 4 1/4" across including handle and is 2 1/2" tall at sides; saucer is 5 1/2 across.
Marked as shown in photo with pattern name "MAYTIME" in script and number G743 handpainted in dark orange. Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash. This rare set would make an impressive addition to your collection even with the flaws to the cup. Please examine all photos to make your own determination of condition. I do try and describe my items accurately. Please remember that my items are vintage and not store-bought-new and some minor wear from age and use and flaws from factory production should be expected.
