Vintage Majolica Style Flower Pot Plate Cup Saucer Set Blue Yellow Pink Lily. A unique vintage plate, tall cup and saucer luncheon set for 6 made in Majolica style. It's made of white ceramic with brightly colored, hand painted, blue, yellow, and pink flowers. The plates are shaped like flower pots with basket weave texture with very detailed flowers that stand out in relief against the ceramic. The tall cups also have raised flowers and greenery in relief and the deep saucers have basket weave texture. They are not marked other than numbers on the back side. The set consists of 2 blue iris plates, cups and saucers, 2 yellow lily plates, cups and saucers, 1 pink peony plate, cup and saucer and 1 yellow/orange-red pompom flower plate, cup and saucer. The plates vary slightly in size due to the different shapes but they are all about 9" x 5 3/4". They aren't flat, the surface is about 1/2" in depth and they're about 1" in total depth. The cups are just under 5" tall, 4 1/4" wide including the handles, and the openings are 3 in diameter. The saucers are 4 1/4" wide, just over 1" in depth and the opening is 2 1/2 in diameter. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or crazing. The pink peony mug has a small indent on the back side of the rim that has been glazed over so it's a factory defect.
